Each jewelry box is constructed of wood and then completely covered with leather both inside and out. The piece boasts a flip-open top, with a brass clasp on the front. The inside leather is meticulously hand-painted with various Chinese symbols and characters. The outside leather is dyed dark red, then hand-painted with one of two designs options: birds and flowers, or a dragon and a phoenix.The handcrafted nature of this product will produce slight variations in form and sizing.
